About PSD files
PSD is Adobe Photoshop’s native format. Besides the final image it stores every layer, mask, text layer and adjustment.
Open Online reads PSD files with ag-psd. You see the flattened image and the full layer list, including the text inside text layers.
What you can do here
- See the flattened image
- Browse the layer list with names, visibility, position and size
- Look at individual layers
- Read text layer contents
- Check canvas size, colour mode and bit depth
Limitations
- The preview uses the composite image stored in the file. If it was saved without “Maximize compatibility”, layers are combined here instead, and effects may be missing.
- Adjustment layers and smart filters are listed but not applied to individual layers.
Privacy
The file is read by your browser and stays on your device. Open Online has no server that could receive it, and nothing is stored once you close the tab. Privacy policy
Common questions
Does it look exactly like in Photoshop?
The flattened preview is the composite Photoshop saved in the file, so it matches. Individual layers are shown without effects such as shadows.
Can I export a layer?
Open a layer and save it as PNG.
Are PSB (large document) files supported?
Yes, if your browser has enough memory for the image.
